Another week has passed... Time flies when we are not focused...
Mundane life continue on.. with its ups and downs... False hope leads to disappointment and into despair...
To expect so much from someone, but yet not reciciporated by that someone...that is the hubris of existence...
When will we learn to expect less and just enjoy the present moment...Has our life degenerate so much that we now have to rush from one existence to another... not being able to just "live" this very moment...
The very essence of this so-called "progress"... of the very improvement of science and technology... Vaunted to relieve the burden and stress of our lives.. but yet leaving us with little time for reflection and relaxation... with the ever present pressure for us to do something and not laze around like a lazy bum...
I know it is indeed ironic that i am using the very medium that i am crititizing to convey my feelings... But paradox is too brought about by the increasingly rapid progress...
Recent coup in Thailand, on the exact same day that my former classmate, Li Yun is going to Bangkok... She is still as brave as ever... ignoring the risk and dangers in the Land of the Golden Elephant...Not letting a mere coup dampen her plans for rest and relaxation... I have much to learn from her, especially her bravery... Hope she enjoyed her trip there and may fortune smile upon her...
After two hectic days of shifting and unpacking, the moving of my department has been complete, without us NSFs having to come back on Saturday to continue the unpacking... While much could be said about the minds of the person who decide on the design of the new office... with its openess and all, i am actually glad that i finally have my own table and drawer, instead of having to share it with so many other NSFs. The only drawback to this is that i would have to learn to control the volume of my speech.. as anything that come out from my mouth would be distorted or worse, regarded as what it really is, causing not only trouble for myself but for other people as well...
Just read the latest volumes of Inuyasha... So sad and outraged. My fave character, Kikyo has died, her spiritual powers were not enough to purify the Shikon Jewel, allowing Naraku to now possess almost all the Shikon jewel. Now the only shard left is within Kohaku, who has now begun to travel around with Sesshomaru. Kikyo, the only female character in the whole Inuyasha storyline to have such a rich background and history, and who serves as one of the main characters of the whole story, has died. Fans should be outraged! Oh well, at least her soul is put to rest.
On a side note, Sesshomaru has obtained a new power for his tenseiga, the MeidÅ Zangetsuha, attack that is able to kill a person with one move (a move somewhat akin to Final Fantasy's Odin's Zansetzhun). This move was obtained after he met up with his mother who opened a portal to the underworld, and inadvertently caused the death of Rin, and Sesshomaru used the Tenseiga to purify all the souls in Hell... Perhaps this implies that Sesshomaru will play a much more crucial role in future storyline...
Oh well,... enough information and gossip for one day... Hope to be less cyncial someday...MAy fortune smile upon us all..
