Hello people, It's been a while since I last blog. Sorry for the lack of update.
Well, after slacking off for about 1/2 a month after Army, I have finally found a temporary job at Furama Hotel Riverfront. I am currently working as an admin clerk in the Finance Dept there. The job maybe a bit boring and mundane, but time sure does fly when you are doing the work. Monday - Friday, 9am-630pm. So, anytime, any of you wanna jio me out for dinner, please do so, I will be passing by Town via the NE line on my way home, anyway. One plus, free lunch on the job. Really helps me to save a lot of money.
Went for Peiru's 21st bday party last Wed. Was quite a blast, meeting up with our former classmates. Mistook her sister for her, Si Beh Pai Sey lah. Goaded to jump into the swimming pool, kissed someone's feet as a forfeit. All in all, a good time was had by all...
Was supposed to help my Sister by being the usher for the filming of the movie, Kallang Roars on Friday and Sat, but only went on Fri. I was supposed to help "herd" the volunteers to the various shooting locations at the National Stadium. In the end, I was a bit redundant, as not enough volunteers came. Young NTUC was supposed to supply 120 volunteers, but in the end, only a handful came. Thus, we had to make do with the volunteers provided by the CDC (A bunch of "energtic" old folks whose average age is over 65). Well, apart with their difficulty walking, they were all quite a good sport as extras, cheering the loudest and also standing up to cheer, when instructed, without any complaint. One thing though, we were shooting the 1977 Soccer match between Singapore and Penang, so was it logical or even historically accurate to have these old folks as spectators in the first place?
Saturday, received a call from my Mother's sister, saying that my Maternal Grandmother just had a fall, and was rushed to the TTSH hospital. Me, Mum, and my Sis rushed to the hospital. Thank heaven that it was not life-threatening or serious. My grandmother just need to have a minor operation to be able to walk again. Admittedly, my grandmother is a very strong-willed and determined person, seeing her hip bone sticking out due to fracture, but not complaining about the pain at all. She really have my admiration. Best, when the doctor ask us to ask her on whether she wanted the operation or not, she replied, "Qing Cai (Anything) Lor, just do the operation". Well, currently waiting for the doctors to check whether she is fit to for the operation or not... Hope nothing goes wrong....
Oh well, enough bullshit and crap...c ya all next time...
