Trouble in the surrounding region of Singapore. Riots and rebellion in E.Timor. Flash floods in Thailand. Merapi eruption in Indonesia. All this might mean nothing to the typical bo-chap Singaporean as they will think that these incidents are none of their concern. Only those who have friends and loved ones in those affected areas would be interested in these regions.
And a few weeks ago, i might have felt the same.
Yesterday was supposed to be Eat With Family Day, but two soon to be ORDed NSFs reported sick, leaving me and another soon to be ORDed also NSF to do all the job.
I was supposed to be able to leave the office at 430pm but in the end, because of overtime, i left at 730pm plus. To stave off hunger, i had only a piece of curry puff brought by one of the captains.
Oh well, at least, time spent there is educational and i have gained an additional 1/2 day off :-)
Found a good comic strip website, while serving overtime yeaterday- the order of the stick. A spoof on the traditional Dungeon and Dragon RPG. the website is: www.giantitp.com. Incredibly funny! Hope u all enjoyed it. I know i do!
